In July 2024, the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation hosted Girls Only Dynamos Cricket Festivals across the County.
Each festival hosted 4-8 teams of girls who took part in 6-a-side countdown cricket against each other.
It was amazing to see so many happy faces and some good cricket being played across the festivals.
Dynamos Cricket provides a fantastic next step for all those graduating from All Stars Cricket and the perfect introduction for all 8-11 year-olds new to the sport! Complementing junior cricket, Dynamos provides children with a more social offer focused on developing fundamental movement skills and applying them in an exciting game of countdown cricket.
We would like to thank Hayfield CC, Butterly United CC, Etwall CC, Duffield CC, and Ockbrook & Borrowash CC who hosted, as well as all the teams that entered for creating positive environments for the girls to excel and develop their cricket.
We would love to see even more clubs enter in 2025, watch this space for more events near you!
