ECB County Grants

Derbyshire County Grants – Now Open for Expressions of Interest

We are delighted to inform clubs about the launch of the 2023 ECB County Grants Fund in Derbyshire.

The County Grants Fund aims to support affiliated cricket clubs to create welcoming environments, provide enhanced facilities and playing opportunities, and to help clubs tackle the impact of climate change. Priority will be given to applications from clubs that are actively engaged with ECB programmes (All Stars, Dynamos, Women’s and Girls’ Cricket and/ or Disability Cricket). It is expected the fund will run until at least 2025.

There are three key project themes, and along with the eligibility criteria these are:

Creating Welcoming Environments – open to affiliated cricket clubs registered for All Stars or Dynamos in 2023, or actively involved with women’s and girls’ cricket and/or disability cricket. It is an expectation that any junior programme will include and actively engage with girls.

Enhanced Facilities and Playing Opportunities for Women’s and Girls’ Cricket and/or Disability Cricket – open to affiliated cricket clubs actively engaged in competitive female only cricket and/ or disability cricket.

Tackling Climate Change (supported by Sport England) – Open to any affiliated cricket club.

Further information on project themes and eligibility is provided in the guidance notes for cricket clubs which can be found HERE

To assist clubs in identifying where they may need to improve their facilities and to demonstrate why a project is needed ECB has produced the following resources:

  • Creating Welcoming Environments Guide – available HERE
  • ECB Facilities Review Checklist – available HERE
  • ECB Facilities Survey – available HERE
  • ECB Energy Saving Guide – available HERE

The ECB guidance and resources can help all clubs in identifying projects which will remove barriers to participation in cricket and help everyone feel more welcome.

Here at DCF we want projects to improve experiences, both on and off the field for our participants.

Clubs are encouraged to use the ECB resources to identify their priorities and familiarise themselves with the club guidance notes.

As a next step any club who feel they are eligible and have identified a suitable project will need to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI).

This can be done via the online Investment Management System (IMS) at

DCF staff will look to provide feedback on EOI’s back to clubs within 10 working days and advise on next steps.
