On Monday 23rd June, a team of 15 incredible DCF walkers took on the tough terrain of the Edale Skyline Challenge – a 20-mile circular route through the heart of the Peak District, with over 1,200 metres of climbing.
Thanks to the amazing support of our friends, family, and wider cricketing community, we are delighted to announce that we raised a fantastic £6,923.76.
These funds will kickstart a new access fund, dedicated to breaking down barriers and opening up more opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to access the game of cricket. Whether through the provision of kit, subsidised sessions, or transport support, this fund will make a real difference to those who need it most.
A Huge Thank You
We are so proud of everyone who took part, donated, or helped to spread the word. Your generosity, energy and encouragement have made a real impact.
We’ll be sharing updates on how the access fund is used in the coming months – so stay tuned, and thank you once again for helping make cricket more inclusive, accessible and welcoming for all.
The Edale Skyline Challenge JustGiving campaign has now ended but if you want to support our ambitions to build this new access fund, you can donate directly to our main JustGiving page – Derbyshire Cricket Foundation – JustGiving
