I worked for The Boots Company at Head Office in Nottingham for 26 years in various senior positions including Head of No7 Cosmetics, Business Centre Manager for Baby, Toiletries and Home Departments, Head of Marketing, International Development, and culminating in Head of Marketing and Merchandising.
In 2004, I took voluntary redundancy to spend more time with my young family after years of travelling abroad and into Nottingham every day.
I then took a PGCE at Derby University in 2004 and taught at Buxton College and then at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Ashbourne. I retired at the end of January 2021.
To help support the initiatives of the DCF in developing and growing cricket at grass roots level across the county, especially in levels of participation and providing high class coaching to all young players.
To promote “Cricket is a game for me” and to ensure that cricket is accessible, safe and welcoming for everyone across cricket in Derbyshire.
My professional background will enable me to offer advice on various business related matters whilst my educational experience and work as a school governor for over 25 years will help with inspiring young people to want to play cricket from All Stars and Dynamos through to youth and senior teams.
I have been involved with Wirksworth & Middleton CC for over 20 years, the last 12 years as Chair. I believe I have an understanding of the issues facing local clubs and the pressures that they are under to continue to provide a high standard of cricket and facilities for all.
