The last 2 years have seen the DCF take on the participants at our Chance to Shine Sherwin Street Club in a best of three format. This year, there will be a four-team tournament that is being hosted at the County Ground on Monday 27th January.

The teams joining the DCF and Sherwin Street Club are the Derbyshire County Cricket Club and our funding partners Chance to Shine. Each team will play each other once with the top two teams gaining the most points playing in a final. Members of the Derbyshire Men’s First team squad will also be in attendance, with one player participating per team.

The event this year is being sponsored by PAK foods who will be generously providing refreshments throughout the evening.

Adeeb Akhtar, Manager at Pak Foods, said:

“It’s great to be part of a such a meaningful initiative that is inspiring youngsters to play the game we all love, and also bringing communities together.”

Mark Barber, Community and Partnerships Manager, said:

“It’s fantastic to be working with PAK Foods on supporting this event. Participants from this event live in the very community that PAK foods immediately serves, we’re delighted and very grateful to have them on board.

Adeeb at PAK Foods has been very welcoming of supporting our work and we’re excited to a long term relationship with a business at the heart of its community.”
