In 2023, the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation (DCF) successfully launched a recreational youth council for cricket in Derbyshire.
The youth council provides a voice for young people within Derbyshire Cricket and an opportunity to impact decision making in the county. The youth council has been instrumental in the development of the Derbyshire Junior Cricket League and championed the launch of initiatives such as Kit Out Derbyshire.
We have an exciting opportunity for young people aged 14-17 to join our existing Youth Council.

- Open to all 14-17 year olds who are a member of a Derbyshire based Cricket Club.
- Ideal for young people who are interested in impacting recreational cricket within the county.
- New members will be selected based on application forms.
- Free to access
- New members will receive a DCF Young Volunteers training top.
- 4 meetings over the year. A mixture of Face to Face and Virtual.
