After a season off from the ECB 50+ Competition due to the Coronavirus pandemic the Derbyshire Over 50s will be back in action this season and are on the lookout for some new 50+ players to help strengthen their challenge to progress in the Competition.
Derbyshire have won the County Championship title at 50+ in the past and we would like to get back to those heady heights again.
This season we have been placed in Group 1 with Cheshire, Cumbria, Durham, Lancashire, Northumberland, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire.
As you can see this is a very strong group and we are looking for new Over 50s players who are still playing at a good standard of league cricket in Derbyshire.
All our fixtures this season will be on a Wednesday afternoon. We start on May 12th with a warm up game against our near neighbours Staffordshire at Checkley and are looking to take a look at any new players in this game to build our squad for the Group 1 campaign.
