    • A workshop including club development planning, facility improvement and funding opportunities
  • How to Grow & Diversify your Volunteer Workforce

The Derbyshire Cricket Foundation, in partnership with education provider SCL are proud to announce the launch of the new Derbyshire Cricket College, starting in September 2023. The college will enrol 18 students from across the county aged from 16 -18 years old on a 2-year course combined with cricket training, matches and coaching built into the timetable.

Located at The Incora County Ground, home of Derbyshire County Cricket Club, students will benefit from the fantastic training facilities under the guidance and expertise of the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation Coaches while studying for either a NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Sport or Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport & Physical Activity

The qualification will give graduates a spring board into their future and the opportunity to progress to further education, apprenticeships or a career. The cricket coaching and matches will allow the students to work on all aspects of their game, whilst the holistic benefits that sport can offer such as development of communication, teamwork and self-confidence, will supplement their training and education. Students will also have the opportunity to complete coaching qualifications during the course.

Open evenings will take place at The Incora County Ground (Nottingham Road Derby, DE21 6DA) on the following dates:

  • Thursday 17th November 2022 – 6.00-8.00pm
