We are pleased to announce that we have received further funding from the MCC Foundation to grow the support for 11-16 year old (school years 7-11) boys and girls to enhance their cricketing skills in 2025.
The sessions will take place at various venues starting in January and running for 10 weeks.
We will be running the below programmes this year:
Derby Boys – we offer 2 boys’ sessions at Under 14 (Year’s 8 & 9) and Under 16 (Year’s 10 & 11) running at Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
Derby Girls – we offer 3 girls’ sessions throughout the programme at Under 12 (Year’s 6 & 7), Under 14 (Year’s 8 & 9) and Under 16 (Year’s 10 & 11) – Venue to be confirmed.
Chesterfield Girls – we offer 2 girls’ sessions throughout the programme at Under 12 (Year’s 6 & 7), Under 14 (Year’s 8 & 9) – running at Netherthorpe School, Staveley.
WHAT IS A HUB?
The Hubs are the flagship programme of the MCC Foundation – the charitable arm of Marylebone Cricket Club.
They run across the UK, providing weekly cricket coaching over the winter months. The high quality, intensive sessions are delivered in a fun and supportive environment and are free to attend. The hubs can lead to match play during the summer too.
Eligibility:
- The players must be aged 11 – 16 years old (school years 6-11)
- Attend a state school
- Committed to putting in 100% effort into all training sessions
- Cannot be already a member of a County Age Group programme
