The DCF Junior Network is launching!

The DCF (Derbyshire Cricket Foundation) are launching a network of young people to provide a platform for young voices to be heard and create volunteers of the future. This idea has come directly from the Derbyshire Cricket Youth Council (made up of young people from cricket clubs in Derbyshire) and is FREE to access!
We want to communicate directly with young people aged 14-18 who are passionate about cricket, whether that is as a player or volunteer and equip them with life skills that can make a different in sport and future careers.
The DCF Junior Network will empower young people to:
Be leaders in Cricket
The Derbyshire Youth Council has shown how important it is to hear the voice of young people with numerous initiatives being launched based on their ideas such as our DCF Kit Shop and the use of strategic facility funding.
This is your chance to have you voice heard!
- Have your say on the future of the game
- Support decision making within recreational cricket
- Share opportunities with your teammates to spread the message.
- Provide topics of discussion for the Derbyshire Youth Council
Be volunteers of the future
We know that volunteers are the life blood of cricket and we want to provide you with the skills, confidence, and leadership qualities to help you thrive in future roles.
- Attend FREE workshops to learn new skills and gain qualifications in the following areas (Coaching, Officiating, Social Media and Marketing, Wellbeing and Psychology, Ground Maintenance, Event Planning, First Aid, Safeguarding and Anti-Discrimination.)
- Workshops will be a mixture of school half terms in February/ April and online options. More information on dates for workshops will be provided once we understand the demand in areas of the county.
- Be the first to hear about work experience or volunteering opportunities at Derbyshire Cricket Foundation or Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
- Be recognised and rewarded for volunteering in cricket with offers based on the number of hours volunteered.
- Invitation to our celebration event in the summer.
This opportunity is FREE and available to anyone involved at a DCF affiliated Cricket Club or on a DCF community programme.
