The Derbyshire Junior Network launched on the 18th and 19th February to empower young people within cricket.
The network aims to provide young people with a platform for their voices to be heard and create volunteers of the future. This idea has come directly from the Derbyshire Cricket Youth Council (made up of young people from cricket clubs in Derbyshire) and is FREE to access!
February saw the first group of workshops with over 20 young people learning vital skills in the below 6 areas. More workshops are available in the Easter holidays.
- Officiating
- Social Media and Marketing
- Mental Health and Wellbeing
- Sport Psychology
- Event Planning
- First Aid
There are 2 main focuses of the network which is open to all 14-18 year olds involved in cricket in Derbyshire.
