CRICKET FAMILY IS ‘TOGETHER THROUGH THIS TEST’ DURING LOCKDOWN

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has today launched ‘Together Through This Test’, a nationwide campaign shining a light on the work undertaken by the game in response to COVID-19 and highlighting the resources available to the public.

ECB guidelines for the use of outdoor cricket facilities in lockdown

The ECB have developed guidelines to offer practical guidance to players and clubs on the steps they should take to remain safe whilst undertaking exercise in an outdoor cricket club environment. ECB is clear that outdoor facilities should only reopen if those responsible for them are ready to do so and they can do so safely, following public health guidance: no club should reopen their outdoor facilities if they feel unable to meet the requirements.

Throughout May, Sandiacre Town CC are running a “Virtual Lap” around all 18 the professional cricket grounds in England and Wales! While the club are unable to take to the field due to the ongoing Coronavirus restrictions, they wanted to do their bit in the community, during a time when people need help more than ever!
