Derbyshire Cricket Foundation – National Youth Programmes Bursary Scheme 2025

At Derbyshire Cricket Foundation (DCF) we believe that everyone should be able to say “cricket is a game for me”, and we are committed to ensuring that cricket is accessible, safe, and welcoming to all those participating, whether they be players, spectators, volunteers, officials, coaches or those working on behalf of the DCF. We recognise that cost can be a barrier to accessing cricket and we are determined to remove that barrier to ensure as many young people as possible can enjoy the great game.

We are proud to introduce the DCF National Youth Programmes Bursary Scheme. Bursaries will be awarded to enable young people from 5yrs-11yrs to participate in All Stars or Dynamos programmes.

Who can apply?

The scheme is available for any young person aged 5yrs-11yrs wishing to take part in All stars or Dynamos cricket activity. You must be wanting to take part in an All stars or Dynamos programme at a cricket Club based in Derbyshire.

All applications will be processed in strict confidence, and in line with data protection regulations.

Grant eligibility criteria

We appreciate that anyone can experience financial hardship at any point irrespective of social background. We therefore welcome applications from anyone experiencing financial difficulties to the extent of which the cost of accessing cricket is a barrier.

Bursaries will only be awarded to participants attending Derbyshire centres.

Priority will be given to anyone who is in receipt of state benefits or children and young people on Free School Meals.

National Youth Programmes in Derbyshire

In Derbyshire we have over 135 All stars and Dynamos centres available for participants to access. In 2024 we had over 3100 participants taking part in All stars and Dynamos programmes. Our centres are taking place all over the county ranging from Glossop to Lullington. We have 20 girls Dynamos programmes running in the county.
