The DCF team have been out delivering a series of Club Forums, with the aim of providing important updates and development support to the cricket network.
It was fantastic to get out to see so many people and hear about the fantastic work that is happening in the recreational game.
We hope you found the forums useful and helped you on your way to becoming a more welcoming and inclusive club!
We have now collated all of the input and feedback that we received across the four forums, and I am pleased to share with you the links to access all the presentation slides and the supporting documents used at the forums, all of which can be found below:
Below are a range of documents to support your clubs in the different areas above:
We encourage you as clubs to continue the discussion around how you can become even more welcoming to your existing members and community. We shared information about the supporting resources we have developed to help continue the discussion as well as providing on-line training. You can find all of the resources under the ‘A Game For Everyone’ section of our website: https://dcfcricket.com/a-game-for-everyone/
Please also discuss the Anti-Discrimination Code with your cricket committee and ensure you have a plan to adopt the code if you haven’t already done so. It is a requirement for all clubs to adopt the code by the end of March 2024. Clubmark clubs should’ve already adopted the code.
The online Anti-Discrimination Training is available through our website, and we encourage you to complete the training and promote the training to your wider club membership. As a starting point, it would be fantastic if committee members, coaches, officials, and captains at your clubs could complete the training.
Finally, anyone that completes the training by the end of January 2023 will be entered into a prize draw with a chance of winning one of the following prizes:
*Anyone that has already completed the training will be automatically entered into the draw*
Please get in touch with your Club and Community Cricket Officer if you have any questions and keep an eye out for an email to book a 1-1 club meeting.
